Front Row Fan (IMAX)

With Barbenheimer dominating cultural conversation IRL and on social media, IMAX 70mm tickets to Oppenheimer's opening night became a status symbol. Even so, fans knew some seats were off limits — especially the front row — unless you were willing to invest in post-screening chiropractic visits.

So when @ScottSullivanTV posted a seating chart showing that someone had bought the front row, center seat at Universal CityWalk — with plenty of better seats still available — it sparked an avalanche of conversation.

To turn this fan-generated viral moment into lasting value for IMAX, we set out to find this "absolute madman" and share their story with the Internet. Our organic content spotlighted A15's love of IMAX while launching a $200 limited-edition art print, available exclusively in the IMAX Fan Shop — which soon sold out.
